Children’s Programs Now (aka Book Love for Young Readers in the Time of Corona)
Wow, do we miss you all in the Library!
Just about everything is virtual these days and we’re all pretty tired of it, aren’t we? We are so thrilled to finally be able to offer access to actual books with curb-side service, but since phased re-opening continues on a to-be-determined basis, and since we are determined to keep the library as safe as possible through this time, library programming will still be largely virtual for the foreseeable future.
But What About Summer Reading!?
That all-important summer library staple that keeps kids reading and helps them to avoid the dreaded “summer slide”? It is still happening! The theme for 2020 is “Imagine Your Story”, and though we had to re-imagine how to make it work with as little in-person contact as possible, we’re thrilled to be able to offer the familiar, fun reading challenges and activities of summer’s past, with a few new twists.
