We sure look forward to the day when we can invite everyone back in to the library to hang out, read books, meet friends, come to story times, play with the marble maze and all of those fun things—but we’re not there yet. The virus is still around, so we have to do things differently for a while longer to keep everyone safe and well.
We are finally able to let people back in the building to check out books, CDs and DVDs. Most of the chairs in the library are put away though, as well as all the games and toys in the Young Children’s section. To help get people in and out quickly, only adults and babies in backpacks or strollers can be in that area. Don’t worry though, your parent, caregiver or one of us will find your books or movies for you!
It will not be like this forever, but it is how it has to be for now. Meanwhile, if you haven’t started the summer reading program, it’s not too late! The theme this year is “Imagine Your Story” and there are six weekly Activity Packets, bi-weekly Maker Kits and some fun reading challenges to check out—just go to the website to see what’s happening.
Do come in and see us and tell us how your summer is going and what you’re reading –
